A Geisha theme was the idea behind this shoot, but not in a literal, traditional form for the dress, hair and makeup. The idea was to show some of the model’s personality through the subdued facial expressions and mannerisms that the Geisha were trained to have. The result is a modern interpretation with a western woman who is aware and keenly interested in Japanese culture, martial arts and tradition, but not bound by it.
