This is an interpretation of creatures I described to that highly talented RB member Tom Godfrey who took up the challenge to let us see what my characters might actually look like. I created them in my book The Phlopplings, a sc-fi comedy, which can be found on Amazon book store e-books under my name. Actually they have human-like personalities despite their appearance. My thanks and admiration to Tom who never fails to amaze me with his skills. His work is well worth a good look.
I have to say that Tom’s interpretation of my book characters isn’t quite as I imagined them, but then I find difficulty in visulising them myself. With your great talent for desiging delightful fantastic creatures, I’m sure you could come up with something very interesting – but if could give you nightmares. Pholppling have six arms, 12 legs, eyes on stalks, four ears, a blow hole, a sting in the tail and a few other odd bits – I guess I over-complicated them. Cheers, Cindy.
what a great image Brian….very creative mind you have there…what a character and.wonderful work and detail…best of luck with the book! :)
On behalf of Tom, very many thanks for the kind words for the caricature, and good wishes for me Linda. The book is on Amazon but so far at the end of a long list – I’m not holding my breath to become a rich author.
Glad to see you’re still using your artistic talents so well.
I realise now it is a collaboration between you and Tom – well done – both of you.
Thanks Dave. Yes, Tom did me a favour in showing his idea of my Phopplings – very different to my own, but then I did make them rather complicated. I put this up about ten months ago so it must have risen from the depths recently.
Big fan of mantises – even bigger fan of our more ‘anthropomorphic’ brethren :)
Great stuff :)))
You’re a master of such imaginative subjects Chris and it’s always a treat to see your work. I gave Tom quite a challenge in interpriting the descriptions of my book characters – not quite what I had in mind but he did a great job – and taught me a lesson not to make my ‘people’ so complicated.

Thanks Hidemi, but this is the work of Tom – I just wrote the book. Nice to see you’re still as productive as ever.

Wow – this is brilliant! I thought you’d stopped uploading onto Redbubble. I must have a look and see if there is anything else I have missed.
