OTHER WORLDS
Most life-forms follow a prescribed set of instructions we call instinct. Mankind differs in using his imagination. He has a consuming passion for exploring his world and imagining what others could be like. We’ve taken our first tentative steps in venturing from Earth and put men on the Moon. We are now sending probes to find out as much as we can to our Solar system neighbours with the drive that some day we can go there too.
We still have no proof that there is life elsewhere than here on Earth. Are we totally alone in the universe where there are untold billions of galaxies? For the moment we can only wait – and use our imagination. Space art had become very popular and many artist have shown us their ideas on what might be possible. i hope my paintings will be an acceptable contribution to the genre, albeit with a touch of humour here and there.

Brian Towers replied
There wasn’t space for all my spaces. I wonder if we can squeeze a few more months into the year. Thanks Woodie. Are you tempted to do one of your aircraft paintings?
Colin Cartwright
I love these, Brian! Especially when you can run them as a slideshow. Excellent. The last months seem the best.
I was thinking of a calendar of my Victorian ships, or the Thomas Hair series of photos, but I don’t have 12 of each yet.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Colin. I tried to see the many calendars for sale via RB main page but it seems a bit difficult to find what one wants as there are too few catorgories. Haven’t found Jim Davison’s yet and it’s been on a few days. I’ll try again. I’m afraid you’ll need 13 pictures as they want one for the cover too. You’ll just have to get the brushes out.
