Summer at Tynemouth

You continue to amaze me. the sense of light, heat and the reflections – wow.

But Brian, surely you know that all one does is to press Control and then type SALT and that produces a cool draught of salty air from the left-hand speaker. I thought EVERYONE knew that! Don’t type SEA or you’ll get a squirt of water from the right-hand speaker and this could damage your keyboard. Don’t anyone else try this either. Oh yes … this picture is almost photographic in its accuracy – well done.

Dave, don’t you know I’m deaf and can’t smell anything coming from my speakers? Is it just me or are we both going nuts?

Brian … I’m already nuts, but you are catching up rapidly ;)
Brian Towers
How’s this for nuts? I had this down as an oil painting when in fact it is a watercolour. I’ll keep taking the tablets.

Lovely work Brian – love the reflections, the figures – you can almost smell and hear the sea. A very good piece …. even if you are confused about the medium :0)

Flippin heck Brian, this is absolutely fantastic.
Brian Towers replied
One of the drawbacks of having so much stuff on RB is that the earlier ones tend to get burried and never seen again. Your new group gives us the chance to bring ‘em to light again. ‘Flippin heck’ is about the best comment I’ve had David, thanks a lot.

Just Wonderful. I looked at all your paintings, and you amaze me, from the portraits (I could never paint the likeness well myself) caricatures, cartoons and scifi work, what a range! And still, this is my favorite, partly from your description, mostly just how it is!!
Brian Towers replied
What a delightful comment from you, elequent and kind. I often think that perhaps I have too much in my collections of images and they can get burried and forgotten so it is a great pleasure to have someone go back through them, and for that I thank you.
I have had a quick look at your portfolio and promise myself a much longer study of your very impressive creations.

Awh! How sweet is that!
