Who invited you?
II’m doing a lot of viewing on RB but not much uploading lately – don’t want to overdo it.. Time for a little action with another painting from my ‘Other Worlds’ series. How long, if ever, will it be before mankind ventures to other planets?
Acrylic on board 20” x 16”

This is fabulous Brian, a very cool space scape.
Brian Towers replied
Most kind of you Lumineux and very much appreciated.
hilarydougill
Beautfully done Brian, wonderful concept and imagery, glorious colours, and I love the little green guy haha. Beautiful artwork. hugsxxx
Brian Towers replied
Thanks kind lady – if only I could collect those hugs and kisses it would make my day. I see you are in the new North East group Hilary.
LostGod
within my time i hope….mate your work is breathtaking.
Brian Towers replied
But not in my time LostGod – unless I live to be 150 maybe. Thanks for the kind comment.
Thornburgart
Love this work Brian, your a Master at so many genres, yesterday I watched a PBS Nova on the Terraforming of Mars, and this morning one of my favorite Artist has a GREAT planet painting! I read so many Sci-fi’s I dream sometimes of being on one of these new worlds. Not in my lifetime, but we can dream!! Love, LOVE this work!!
Brian Towers replied
When I keep seeing the fantastic paintings you turn out Matthew then being told I am your favouite artist is the supreme compliment – I’m not even my favouite artist. Yes, I think that if the most destructive animal on Earth can only hold back for a while and let his technical skills, together with his dreams, work together, then we could make it to Mars in our children’s lifetime.
GEORGE SANDERSON
Another Great one Brian Its been a while since you put anything on the Redbubble, But it’s always worth the wait.
See you on Friday. Keith has had his first attempt with the airbrush he should have mastered it by the turn of the century !
Brian Towers replied
Ah George, I can always count on your kind support, being such a generous mate. See you Friday and perhaps Keith’s first attempts at airbrushing.
Irene Burdell
Fantastic work Brian.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Irene, your kind words are greatly valued.
Jim Phillips
Very cool Brian and extremely well painted. I’m a big Sci-Fi fan anyway, so I really like this a lot.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Jim. Oddly, I thought spacy scenes would be very much a male interest, but most of the ones sold have been bought by women (Maybe for the menfolk).
LjMaxx
Wonderful across the board.. Great meaning too..
Brian Towers replied
Thany you very much LiMaxx. The title is my little bit of humour – I doubt we’d be too concerned about an invite before gatecrashing.
Woodie
Excellent Brian
Worth waiting for!
Cheers Neil
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Woodie. And I look forward to seeing your next painting on RB which will also be worth waiting for.
ToastedGhost
Wonderful creation
Brian Towers replied
Thanks for the kind comment ToastedGhost. Just taken a look at your pages and have promised myself a much longer ‘treat’ with your fantastic creations.
Hidemi Tada
beautiful skill as usual Brian. From next year I will do work more slow and challenge to better quality.
Brian Towers replied
Most greateful for that Hidemi, but I can’t imagine you doing much better work than you create already.
retepk
Well done.
paul boast
Great work Brian, great subject , i too not have not been around for a while just been busy with work etc …..dont think man will ever inhabit other planets because he cant even get this one to work yet .
Brian Towers replied
How true Paul, we seem to have made a mess of this world in so many ways it doesn’t bode well for what we would do to another. We’re so clever at technology and so bad at politics. Thanks for your kind comment and we hope to see more of you soon.
Chris Willis
Really beautifully painted, as we are wont to expect from you, Brian. Your talent is really amazing…and although I’m not a sci-fi fan, I think you work is extraordinary. I’m quite happy here on the blue planet :-) Interesting thoughts though…cheers.
Brian Towers replied
Thank yer kindly mam! I sometimes think that you create better space scenes than I do with your fantasic fractals. Yes, our world if so beautiful and precious, if only we could keep it that way.
Tom Godfrey
I’m coming over to your Acrylic and airbrush workshop -keep me a seat! Fantastic Brian.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Master Tom. My ‘worksop’ can be a scary place, apart from coloured clouds, compressor noise and the fact it’s in a untidy garage, there’s this old geezer waring cap, goggles and breathing mask. Who thought air-brushing was a clean quiet hobby?
mikeloughlin
I think you’re already there (mentally). The rast og us are only playing catch-up!!!
Brian Towers replied
I’ve had some odd looks from some of the people who’ve seen these pictures – some suggest I take medication. But it keeps an old mind that bit more active being spaced out. Thanks Mike.
Krys Bailey
This is beautiful! Just how I would imagine another world! Excellent work!
Brian Towers replied
What a great find you are Krys – I’ve just been taking a quick look through your portfolio at some of the best photography I’ve ever seen. I’ll be taking a much longer look and definately put you on my watchlist. Many thanks for you kind comment.
Walter Colvin
Wow fantastic painting Brian. I am still working on my house, but when I get the time I am going to try some sifi 3d.
Brian Towers replied
Good for you Walter. These kind of imagined pictures lets you create your own worlds, what power! – look forward to seeing them. Thank you.
BarbBarcikKeith
As always, your work is just superb.. and I like the idea of another planet.. but I want it to have a population – just maybe NOT green.. how about purple??
Brian Towers replied
Just for you Barb, my next alien will be purple – with green spots. (Thinks, ‘Who ever thought Martians could be purple?’)
From you, praise indeed, many thanks.
Julie Miles
I love the title…in my mind, that’s how I feel most “aliens” would think upon humans. We always portray extraterrestrials as being the hostile creatures that invade earth seeking to destroy us (thank you, H.G. Wells), but I suspect we would be equally likely, if not more so, to set foot on another planet and destroy its inhabitants.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Julie. Yes I guess we are kind of an arrogant lot when it comes to gate-crashing – as our own world knows too well. Nevertheless, it’s all a bit of gentle humour.
Linda Callaghan
what an amazing painting – when mankind finally lands we will know what the planet will look like thanks to this perfect painting :-)
Brian Towers replied
Sorry I didn’t send this as a reply to you Linda – I’ll send it again.
Thanks Linda for those kind words. These spacy scenes often get me some odd looks, but they do go down well and usually sell. Apart from that I do get the urge to let the imagination have its head and create my own worlds and lifeforms – powerful stuff and a bit of a change from landscapes.
Incidently, I’ve just written a bit of a long-winded reply to your nice bubblemail message about paint, but there was a hitch in my works and I think it failed to be sent. If it doesn’t get to you then may I say thank you and hope you keep showing us your talented paintings. Regards, Brian.

Congrats Brian on winning Space 2008 latest challenge. ( I voted for a winner for a change?!! LOL)
Cheers Neil
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Neil. Seeing I voted for you when you won the Aviation contest I guess we’re about evens. Congratualtions to you too.
Van Cordle
Wow fantastic work!!
Brian Towers replied
I just put you on my watchlist a couple of minutes ago Van. Your work is really outstanding. Many thanks for your kind comments.
Linda Callaghan
Not to worry Brian I have a hard time keeping up with my reply comments too – no your bubblemail did not come through but appreciate your reply now thank you :-) off to study your work again as it is fabulous and I must find time to do another one soon
MuscularTeeth
superb work man.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks Muscular, that definately give my ego a lift – not easy at my age.
psimonic
Spectacular piece! I like the added details; like the mountains with their narrow spires. It gives that lower-gravity world feel. Nice one.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks for your kind comment psimonic. I’ve just finished another on the same theme (the third) so must try something different for a change.
Michael Beers
JUST FANTASTIC WORK WELL DONE!!!!!!
Brian Towers replied
Many thanks Michael. I’ve just taken a tour of your portfoilo and am amazed at some of your work. You live in a beautiful and exciting part of the world for scenery and wildlife. You’re also doing a great job in your moderating roles.
Lori H
Beautiful work you have!
Brian Towers replied
Most kind of you Lori – I must say the same about your photography, beautiful work.
adivawoman
This is way too cool!
Brian Towers replied
Many thanks for your kind comment.
Ingrid77
wow – I just love this one!!!!!!!
Brian Towers replied
Thank you for your kind comment Ms 77, or may I call you Ingrid. I’m just going to take a long look at your portfolio.
Dawid Michalczyk
Very nice again!
mikepaulhamus
very cool…
Brian Towers replied
I kinda liked this one – maybe the message as much as the view – but it has only just sold after a many months in a gallery. Thanks again Mike.
Bob Bello
This is excellent! I realy jump-started a whole novel in my head! Please come publish in our Space Age Magazine
Brian Towers replied
I reckon I can’t get a better compliment than my pictures being ‘inspirational’ Boris. Many thanks. If you ever get to finish what you have in mind then I’d like to read it. I’ve just taken a look at your magazine and may get around to submitting a few images. My two novels, as yet unpublished, are far too long however.
redqueenself
Love this. I’ve always love paintings of worlds that never existed, used to exist or someday might exist. Although the little green guy isnt a dinosaur it made me think…maybe the dinosaurs didnt go extinct…maybe they just went home.
Brian Towers replied
Thanks lovely lady. I do get the urge now and then to come up with another ‘out of this world’ painting as a change from landscapes – and your kind words encourage me to get going again.
Just looked through your extensive work and am very impressed with your talent and style. When I get time I’ll be taking a much longer look. Thanks again.
Inframan232
sci-fi at its best
cdcantrell
fantastic piece
Shelley Warbrooke
This is an absoluting breathtaking piece of art, Brian. You have shown such attention to detail! A great vision of somewhere far away… wonderful!
