    Thanks for your kind words. I am a bit impatient so tend to spend an average of 6 to10 hours on my efforts. A lot depends on how well they are going.

    Thanks Rich, just what I like to hear. The old brush still has it’s place in these days of high-tech images. That’s balanced by the great images you produce with a camera and a lot of skill, most of which would be hard to achieve with paint.

    Ta Neil. I first put this up about a year ago, but it has managed to find it’s way into a few groups for a renaissance. Never thought of it being a Green welly genre. Good ‘un!

    Thanks Nolan. I’ve got to say that in those days the trout were rarely big- the river not having beed stocked during the war, but even tiddlers were a good catch for kids.

    Well, I’ve been practising for about 70 years – started late when I was 5 – and still have a lot to learn. But then how dull it would be otherwise.     WOW. Your skill with oils is amazing. I have dabbled with seascapes, landscapes etc but this is really something else. Well done, beautiful painting i can just imagine myself being there pulling trout out of the river. Amazing work.
