Bus stop

Bus stop

I did this some years ago when I was more interested in showing big scale objects, the ship being several miles wide, but I’ve just realised I’m also showing a big scaly object.

Acrylic on board. 20” x 14”

Bus stop belongs to the following groups:

Alien Worlds and Landscapes, Realist Traditional Art and Sci Fi Available for sale as

Greeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

You have to learn to balance your scales!!
    Great as usual Brian

  • Brian Towers replied

When some people see these pictures they think I’m decidedly unbalanced. Thanks Neil. How’d you like to be interviewed by me – tell you about it tomorrow?

whoa, bus stop of the future. Are those entire cities under those domes?? Very cool piece of work!

  • Brian Towers replied

Yep! I think I had in mind that that white ship was a number 9 bus and the rider was waiting at the stop. If it had been true to form I should have had three arriving all at once. Thanks Stephanie.

Another beauty….you have such an imagination:) Love the form of transport you’ve given the traveller…although I think I would probably be a tad concerned about riding it. Awesome work…and hugs from me too :)

  • Brian Towers replied

I’m getting hugged to death by some lovely people Chris – what a way to go.

    Well done Brian,
I’ll have to show these to Kieth, he’s not on the net. He loves SCI-Fi but is back in the stone age where technology is concerned

I thought his wheelchair today was pretty hi-tech. I managed to have a word with him and it was nice to see him improving at last. Hope he enjoys the space pics, thanks.

    Wow brilliant work Brian…fantastic;)

  • Brian Towers replied

Thanks Shanina. With all this encouragement I might get the brain in gear and do more spacy pictures.

That is some really good work. This reminds me a lot of the classics, the covers of sci-fi books from the 50’s. Excellent work.

  • Brian Towers replied

Thanks a lot Artur – coming from an artist like you that means a great deal. Your work is of the best of space art and I have total admiration of it. I only used the old fashioned brushes and paint, not having mastered the skills of high quality computer work yet, but I am often ‘blown away’ with the kind of pictures you create. When can we see more?

This is a galaxy-tripping scene, Brian. Is this a painting from scratch? From the imaganation? It’s superbly crafted, my friend. There is a fine optimism and grace in this.

I’m currently reading the ‘Lucifer Morningstar’ series of graphic novels. Lots of imaginative and horrific-scene, drawings in them!

  • Tahnja

    Tahnja

    totally fantastic work Brian

  • Brian Towers replied

Most kind of you Tahnja, thank you.

Absolutely fantastic work. It has a very Star Trek TOS background look to it. Me saying this is a compliment because I absolutely love that show and fantastic painted backgrounds it featured. Great work Brian.

  • Brian Towers replied

Thanks Steven. I like to change subjects over a pretty big range, cartoons included, but often come back to something spacey to have a ‘fix’. I do like your paintings and humour.

you must have loved start wars… looks like you could have contributed some story boards, nice.

  • Brian Towers replied

I remember as a keen kid been told by grown-ups that space travel was impossible, but I thought I knew better and was pleased to be proved right. Gotta admit I’m still a kid when it comes to the subject.
