I am a married father and grandfather and live in Australia’s national capital city, Canberra.

I have been involved in photography for well over 50 years. I was President of the Canberra Photographic Society for eight consecutive years in the 1990s, and am still a member.

I joined the Australian Photographic Society (APS) in 1976 and have served it in a variety of capacities, including a term as President. I am currently Chairman of its Digital Division. I am a Life Member and have been awarded an Associateship (AAPS) in recognition of my photographic skills, and an Honorary Fellowship (Hon FAPS) in recognition of my service.

The International Federation of Photographic Art has awarded me an AFIAP in recognition of my photographic skills, and an ESFIAP recognition of my service.

ADVENTURE IN HALLSTATT

Its spectacular setting, at the foot of mountains and facing the often mist-cloaked Halstättersee, makes a classic postcard image. The man leapt on his bike and beckoned us to follow.

A HORSE CALLED COW

It was a long time ago and it was during one summer. I had come looking for a horse, supposedly labelled “cow”.

Once upon a time there was a farmer with the unlikely name of Shepherd.
