Dino by Brian Damage

Available to buy on…

I found him on a pavement in Alperton… somebody spilled some paint… all I had to do was darken it down a bit… add some teeth… and an eye… and suddenly it was beautiful.. in an ugly sort of way.

Once upon a time… when I was young and foolish according to Miss Meehan (my wonderful art teacher) I was quite good at drawing, painting, scribbling and doodling. Despite producing Dali inspired paintings and Gerald Scarfe style drawings and having several cartoons published in a national magazine… this was a talent I chose to neglect. Not anymore!

    It’s those teeth again…
    and that eye.
Wonderfully threatening, while at the same time it makes me want to know him better.

  • Hello Uncle Will, How about this for a prompt reply? I have been advised that it is sensible to reply personally rather than generally. In which case – Thank you for your dental and indeed optical comments… an introduction is in the air.

Wonderful. I take it he is a digital figment of your imagination, then?

  • Partly digital – there was some spilled paint on the pavement – all that was missing was an eye… some teeth… and a bit of colour
