Do I Remember What Home Feels Like?

It is interesting, no, make that more than interesting, how being in this community of art, can make me feel something when I have no feelings to share. In between short periods of time that are torture episodes in reality, I can slightly relax and look forward to a new work or completion of one. I see and sense similarity around me and taken aback by the beauty created by others, I attempt not to be persuaded or influenced to copy any image to my brain for duplication elsewhere. I cannot view the work of others too long. My admiration may come alive in a work that needs to be my own beginning and end.

This mirrors my own feelings so much of the time.

However, you do have some feelings to share… and share them quite beautifully with your words. And I can tell by just the way you write that your words are another medium for art, being works of art unto themselves.

We all congregate here together, because we are all so much alike in the kind of people we are. Artists, and other creative people, are often the most understood of all in society. We come here because we all understand the non-conforming soul and mind of the artist, and therefore, understand each other when the rest of the world does not. This makes us family, as we accept each other unconditionally for the same attributes that the rest of society may shun us for.

It is a wonderful thing, that we can all come here and have our feeling validated by others that can understand those feelings. It is a wonderful thing, that we can all escape from the darker sides of our lives, if even for just a few moments, and rejoice in the warmth that we give each other because we understand one another.

Home is where the heart is, Bren… and if you are drawn here because of your heart, then this is another home for you. Welcome Home, Bren!

    Peace & Love,

    Grouchy ;)

Thank you GOH and you don’t seem at all grouchy to me. I always felt that stigma of being misunderstood, but I did not want to add to the stereotype just because I knew it was hanging over me. Your compliment has practically left me typeless (smile). Thank you for understanding and thank you for the love.

Hi Bren, It is so great that you can appreciate the work of other people….but words
are all around us and you just have to catch them….just write random words on
paper about your past..the present or the future..happy or sad..and you will find
that you have a wonderful story. Sally xxoo

Hi Sally.. Thanks for coming over! Thanks so much for the advice too :) I look forward to reading some more of your work. I know the stories are in me. I just tend to struggle with the emotional episodes attached to them. I will attempt to make the necessary adjustments though.

A siber hug coming your way!!
Diddo Kiddo but the beauty is we don’t have to hold on to it for long…......
    Singing Souls remember…........
PUMP up the music that always works for me! I’m listening to ‘up on a roof’ by the Drifters right now.

p.s I never begin a painting knowing the exact outcome nor do I when I write with words but somehow it becomes a journey for me and I’m either relieved it’s off my chest or I’m learning to have confidence (I believe you remind me from time to time) lol xxxxxxxx
