Just did my normal sharpening (some RAW pre-sharpening, and some output sharpening) both using Nik Sharpener (I hate mucking around with Unsharp mask or smart sharpen.

Great perspective and composition Brent. As has been mentioned, the opposing textures of the weather beaten boards and the serene, calm waters go beautifully together.

The colours & light in this are so beautiful. Reminds me of Salvador Dali. Its amazing when you get out in this light to take photos, you sometimes think its too overcast or there’s not enough cloud in the sky to capture the colour, but you’re almost always surprised with how good they come out. Love your work.

I can smell the sea air, beautiful aussie ocean colours and light, makes me want to get down the beach nice and early now that summer is coming on.

it’s a very rich photo, both in colour and texture. a sunrise over the ocean shot and it doesn’t look cliche. i mean it looks original and not alike to any sort of happy snap or typical post card.

I used to swim here or sit up on the cliff face as an angst-ridden teenager brooding, usually in full storm conditions. As a late riser I never saw it like this. Amazing beauty. Thanks for showing me how it looks now in all its glory!
