Breathing Space is a collaborative project: showcasing the combined talents of Mandi Whitten and Paul Tait .
To breathe is to be alive. To have space is to have freedom for personal growth and fulfilment.
Breathing Space is a photographic project that explores the spaces that we in the queer community inhabit. These spaces are as diverse as the community itself is. This site consists of images – of both male and female forms – that illustrate and celebrate the diversity of our community within our individually fashioned pockets of safety.
Mandi Whitten and Paul Tait are based in Adelaide and have distinctive approaches to photography. This collaboration aims to define the freedoms that we afford ourselves in a world where we can still feel constrained by forces beyond our control.
Mandi and Paul invite friends and family to share their passion for photography as they illustrate the safe places that offer us all breathing space.
Breathing Space is a member of Beauty of The Human Body , Gay Men, Gods and Goddesses, Lesbian and Bi-Women's Art, Pinup, The Artistic Nude and The Male Nude.
