Lost In The Dark

Somewhere in the dark there’s light but I’m still searching. The wind blows so cold in the dark, like needles piercing my skin. The suffocating air fills my heart, turning it into ice. I watch as my heart shatters like glass. There is no light in the dark, only death. Death and despair reaped with heartache and loss. I no longer have hope, only memories of a past life, a life when there was light. But now only DARK.
