Fallen
I would really love to hear thoughts on this because I’m not sure how I feel about it. It was interesting creating it because I didn’t originally plan it to come out like it did (like most Everything I do).
Feedback is welcome…

you sound like me I rarely end with what i intended. I love this! think it is AMAZING!
brandiejenkins replied
Thanks so much Raven, I love uncertain results :)
1chick1
to be honnest its a nice pic but in my opinion i would of left it all black and white
brandiejenkins replied
Thanks for your honesty, I should have posted the b&w and full color version for comparison, it’s a stark difference, actually pretty hard to tell the wings are on fire with the black and white.
Deidra Scoggins
I think this is stunning and the flaming wings is what caught my attention!!! I love it and the title really suits the pic!
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you Deidra!
Matt Roberts
Really good work. Great composition and just great image in general.
brandiejenkins replied
Thanks Matt :)
joefiddler
I love the Flaming wings, and I appreciate the “Feather Flames” falling from the wing, nice detail. The composition has a real sense of dark hope somehow.
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you joe, especially for your attention to detail, I wasn’t sure at first if it was noticeable. :)
Charuhas Images
Excellent work,

Thanks!
Bob Wickham
Brilliant creation … the cross, the birds, the fire, the story it tells, the title. If it was mine I’d be ecstatic
brandiejenkins replied
Aww, thanks so much Bob, appreciate the comment :D
Laurie Search
Oooh, this is fantastic!!
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you Laurie :)
Jason D. Lader...
I am extremely intrigued with this image. I think it is composed really well but I would like to say I like the Fire but with the rest of the image in Black and White the fire really takes away from your intent. I would assume that the “Thunder” in this image is not the fire, rather an idea of regretful failure or mistaken step, I think that the Fire being in colour is too abrupt. But really this is an awesome image full of much to consider in the way of sorrow and regret regardless of whether you change it I think it is a wonderful creation of inspired imagery
brandiejenkins replied
I really appreciate you giving a thorough analysis of this image, that’s exactly what I was hoping for. I was hoping someone would pick up on my intent (which was interpreted in so many ways), I like that you used the phrase ‘regretful failure’ because that really does give some insight to where I was heading. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment :D
davidwyatt
Awesome work :)
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you david :)
Michael Coots
Fantastic image…..I love the fact of the fire being in color myself, it adds intrigue to the image, not sure it would look the same in b&w.
brandiejenkins replied
Haha Michael, there seems to be a lot of debate on just that, you’re right though, it doesn’t look the same in b&w, thanks :)
Josie Jackson
Oh wow, you did a fantastic job, I love it, but I agree with 1chick1 I think I’d like to see it all in b&w, that’s just my opinion…...it’s fabulous, I love it.
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you Josie, I’ll try and post the full bw version for comparison.

Who is she ?
brandiejenkins replied
I’m trying to refrain from adding my own story as to who she is, I’d like to hear interpretations of what other people think. :)

brandiejenkins replied
Thank you Bec, you’ve worded that nicely :D
RockyWalley
I love this because it has a lot of symbolism in it…This is a masterpiece!!! Congrats on your feature…By the way I used one of your backround textures…I hope you don’t mind that it’s not as good as your work but it is my first one…tell me what you think…
brandiejenkins replied
Thanks for your comment Rocky and also for crediting my texture! You’ve done a beautiful job with your photo, it’s so dramatic and expressive, amazing work for being your first textured image, keep it up! I especially love the expression in it’s eyes, somewhat sorrowful but at the same time there’s hope in there.
soxipherz

brandiejenkins replied
Thank you soxipherz :)
MySTRyCHKN
I do not know if you know who Mana is, they are a Spanish rock band, and in one of their songs they sing of an angel with tattered wings; this reminds me of it.
It is not entirely a new idea, but I think it is a rather original approach. A for
H!FFL0…
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you, I haven’t heard of the band but the song sounds intriguing, will definitely look into it :)

I think your success with this one answer your question. It is a stunning and evocative work. Congratulations on your feature too.
xx
brandiejenkins replied
Thank you Anna, evocative is an interesting description, appreciate it :)
jfsrulz
I for one am glad you left one wing in color and burning because it indicates a process. The next wing that is going to burn is the next one. Every time I fall from grace I feel like that, but a male version of course.
brandiejenkins replied
I get that and thanks for your feedback, its fascinating :D
Kim Calvert
This is amazing work Brandie, I love it..and congrats on a well deserved feature!
