No, was there last year – after riding for 6 days in Andes – had a day walking round Machu Picchu and the next day climbed Wayna Picchu – this time I went to Belize and Gautamala- – horseriding in the Mayan jungle – saw 4 blue morphos – and Mayan caves with artefacts intact and canoed in one cave inside for about a mile, walked in another cave and went deep down into a third one. Swam in twop deep in the jungle waterfall pools and went to Tikal to see the largest Mayn buildings excavated to date. Wonderful. I will upload some photos soon.

Thank you so much Carol – a scorpion fell from the palm leaf roof of my cabana beside me ( I dispatched it quickly!!) – a GIANT wolf spider shared my shower but I didn’t KNOW that till I shone my torch in AFTER my shower – The cabanas were only lit with kerosene lamps and the light failed to reach so far into the shower cubicle . I caught it in a tumbler and pitched it dowm the toilet AND no one else seemed to get creatures like that . maybe it was a welcoming committee!! Liz

I did Machu Picchu last year – think I’ve already uploaded pics for that. Yes, this year it was the Mayan jungle for riding as well as Mayan ruins and 3 different types of Mayan caves – two bodies in one of them!! Thank you Steve – it took me 52 hrs as I had to wait 45 mins in Passport Control in Miami and lost my flight connections !! I had to get flights the next day and spend a night in a hotel!! so was a bit peeved at that! Will upload some pics soon. Liz
