The vastness of the snow area we hiked in on Tuesday was made all the more awesome by the ever glowering skies. The silence was not broken as there was no wind at all and this untouched area seemed to spread out before us as we made our way down from Craig Lair in deep snow.

  • Oh Wow Gina – you were quick- not a breath of wind – quite unusual to hike in – despite no sun a wonderful day. Thank you very much. Liz

Oh my— this is wonderful, I can almost feel the cold! :) You are a brave woman! Niiiiiiiice!!!

  • Oh Thank you so much – I hike with a group – I wouldn’t have gone on my own – I just let them wander forward. Tough going in the deep snow though. Skies were most unusual all day – this was the first of us seeing a little sunlight.

A great sense of wilderness. Excellent use of the folk trekking for that wonder of scale. Great stuff.

It is a good thing you do this in a large group.
