Wow, Liz. How lucky to have been to this fab place. Did you do the 4-5 day hike to get there or catch the train (I think that is the other mode of transport)? Did you enjoy it?

  • Braedene replied

Hi Elana – thank you . I was horse riding for 6 days in the Andes on mostly old Inca trails – after that we descended by train to Cusco ( We had been riding from 12000ft to 15500ft!!) and had a day in Machu Picchu then I climbed Wayna Picchu the next day – awesome – near to the Gods. Liz

Interesting place. I’d like to hear more about it. Many people have mentioned the great times they have had touring Chile, but never in great detail.

Outstanding Al – Since I was quite small I’ve wanted to visit some specific places – and this was one of them. I did 6 days in other areas of Peru ( including Lake Titicaca – highest navigable lake iin the world!) before joining a riding trip at Cusco. We rode in the Andes on some old Inca Trails between 12000ft and 15500ft for 6 days – absolutely awesome, then we went to Machu Picchu for a full day and the next day I spent climbing Wayna Picchu, which is the mountain that towers above MP. We camped each night on the mountains after 6 to 8 hrs riding each day. I’ll post some shots of the riding
from time to time. I have one posted of ‘Shadows’ as we had been riding for 8 hrs that day into the setting sun!! Thanks for your viewing. Liz

This is a stunning photo Liz and a place I would just love to visit. I know this is the post card shot but you have excelled and weren`t you lucky with the weather.

  • Braedene replied

Hi Terry- I have about 70 shots from all angles but they might not appeal to viewers unless they have visited MP.It was one of my most awesome experiences. You must visit if you can. Liz
