Hello,

I grew up in both the everchanging & eclectic world of The British Museum in the middle of London in the 70’s & then from aged 7 near Maidstone in the midst of the Kentish Countryside before returing to London again in the 90’s and back to Kent in 2010. Two intense & very different influences giving me a love for both the city scapes & the bright lights coupled with the peacefulness & serenity of the countryside & coast & the deep black pitchness of the sky at night.

After school I attended Mid Kent College in Maidstone when I took Photography & Media before going to work in a variety of local & national newspapers for the next 20 years.

A couple of years ago with the increased quality of Digial Cameras & some excellent processing software photography called me back to a more dedicated level.

Opportunities unfolded for me to be able to follow my more creative side after so many years spent working with logic with a kick start from St Martin’s college, London.

I use Nikon cameras & lenses as I find them so easy to use. I mainly shoot using the Nikon DX AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm with VR & the Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 70 – 300mm again with VR invaluable in getting clear images, especially in low light photography a passion of mine requiring longer exposure times.

For me getting that shot your vision see’s is something that can be planned but is so often not, it’s something that drives me on to continue developing & striving towards that shot that satisfies enough to just enjoy it for itself, it’s a great feeling when it happens.

Many times I’ve never got the shot I wanted & many times the shot I didn’t even think of and fell in love with I discovered during processing. I hope you enjoy my mixure of both.
