Artist's Description

“It’s Your Main Pain – Progressions” – © 2010 by Brad Michael Moore 30" X 20" Inches at 300 DPI… Based on my 2008 series, “It’s your Main Pain,” this work, titled, “Progressions,” puts into a visual motion – the moving nature of pain as phases that one becomes familiar with who suffers chronically, from illness, or conditions they have little or no control over. It contains 40 separate images (20 Duo-Plexes) – digitally pieced together… – I may try a "Quadra-Plex version, eventually… BMM
“Original Statement” – 2008 “It’s Your Main Pain” and, “Universe’s Large and Small” – “Pain is one of the the primary components of life. I had a chance to test a theory after a injury in Feb., 2008. This series began as a simple labor – born near the end of last year (2007). Then, in period of a few days, through much process, this series was painted through much personal pain. I had set out to test my will. While surrounded in aches, pains, spasms, and awkward positions – I had to hold on to my beliefs, a desire, if I overlooked my hurting – long enough; I could discover a gauging, which declares, there is also absolute beauty where there is absolute pain. This is the simple task of this series. Luckily for me, I have a wireless keyboard, and a computer chair that allows me to work inclined, at a 45 degree angle – and I became more proficient with the capability of my right hand. I’m not totally crazy – after completing this series, I did take a small bit of rest, while trying to find someone who could help me – uninsurable as I am in America – Land of the Once Great – still needing to prove to me – we can be so again. Meanwhile, Pain Management…” – Brad Michael Moore
