I live like a hermit in my own head...

Brad MacDuff

I live like a hermit in my own head...

And it is true what you said
That I live like a hermit in my own head
But when the sun shines again
I’ll pull the curtains and blinds to let the light in.

  • Brad MacDuff replied

I could argue that the eyes are the windows… but it has been said before.

    Nothing wrong with that..
the Hermit always is lifting a lantern….
so it may show us the way.
    Shrinking thoughts…old times… the past
    Evoking the light…. always there…
    awaken the consciousness…
Rosa (I like drawing s very much… specially when intentional from the core of the mind-soul.)

  • Brad MacDuff replied

Thank you so much Rosa, though my hermit has shed his lantern and cloak, I’m sure he remembers where he left it.

The little tormenter inside artistic heads.

  • Brad MacDuff replied

He’s not so much a tormentor. We get along well enough most days.

Brad, this is such an interesting image. I love it. It stopped me in my tracks. I love the way you drew the hermit to. Is the splat of red supposed to represent blood or something else? It really gives the work an area of emphasis-but also adds some gore too! I can’t help but make the association of blood because of the drips. Would love to hear your thoughts!
