"I would walk 5,000 miles, and I would walk 5,000 more, just to be the man who walked 10,000 miles and fall down at your door" What a super 2 weeks I have had!!!!

Whizz…. BANG! Whizz….Whizz…. BANG! BOOM! Fizzle……. Pardon me. I am just shooting off a few fireworks in my back garden. Whizz…… BANG! POW! Fizzle… I know it’s not New Years yet but I just had to CELEBRATE! Wow! What a couple of weeks I have had. Besides all the great chatting we all have had, I want to share with you what my life on RB has been like lately. Whizzz…POP! Hey honey, that nearly went in my ear. Just hold it a moment. Let’s all have some hot chocolate. Anyway let me tell you… where to start first?

I guess TopTens. “With Frosting On Top” placed 2nd in the Frozen Leaves challenge in the Falling Leaves group, “The Bells of St. Mary’s” placed 2nd as well in the Church Bells challenge in the Historic Churches group, “Old Barn” placed 10th in the Barn challenge in the Country Bumpkin group, “Autumn’s Water Fall in Red” placed 5th in the An English Autumn challenge in the This Is England group, as well as placing 1st in the Waterfall group Buyer’s Only challenge in which everyone who enters the challenge has to promise to buy a card of the winning photo (which as it turns out is mine). On top of this, I have also placed 1st in the Stained Glass challenge in the Window’s and Doors group with my photo “Morning Light.” That is six top ten spots. _Whew! Now I need to get my breath before I continue…….. OK!
Features “Walking Reflection” was featured in the Reflectivity group, “Greeting the Morning” was featured in the group Light up My Life, “Fence lines, Farms, and Furrows” was featured in the group Rural Around The Globe, “The Evening Gathering” was featured in the group Light In The Darkness, “Winter’s Coming” was featured in both the group A Photographer’s Craft and in the group ImageWriting, “"Eclipsed"” was featured in the group Lost in Space [75% Negative Space], and “Don’t Lose The True Meaning…” was featured in the group Statues and Such. As well as all these new features, “Frozen” was re-featured in the group Dilapidated Buildings, and has asked me to fill in an interview because they have featured me as a member in the group. I am really excited abut that as it is the first time I have been a featured member.
Oh, I almost forgot! Many of you know this already from my other most recent journal, but I will tell it again. “With Frosting On Top” was featured on the Home Page following the results of the Frozen Leaf challenge in the Falling Leaves group. That brings my featured toatal to an even 50- another milestone!

My wife is bringing the hot chocolate out now, so time for one last little, tiny, ever-so-small piece of news….. I have reach and surpassed my 10,000 views (Sorry about the title of this journal entry. (For the the Proclaimers purists here in England, I changed the numbers from the song to fit my viewings number) Whoppee!!!! Whizzz… BANG! Whizzz… whizzz….whizzz… BANG! POP! BANG! BOOM! crackle… crackle It is actually up to 10,281 viewings of my works. A gigantic, enormous THANK YOU to you all my friends out there. I brings a real tear to my eyes that you have accepted me as a respected artist like all of you. I am more truly honoured by that than any of the other stuff I have shared with you today. BIG HUGS and HIGH FIVES to everyone. I will place all the photos mentioned below so you can have a look. Now I must get back to my fireworks. Thanks again. Let’s light the BIG one sweetheart. Whizzzzzzz.. oops… I don’t think it was suppose to go in the greenhouse…..OHHHH! Pretty! Call the Fire Department Honey. Speed dial 6! Ask for Tom! Wow Beautiful.

Shawn you’re on RB fire!! (and quite literally, it would seem!) Such great work – all very deserving of your various features and accolades. Although I think RB for you should definitely come with some kind of health and safety warning!!

  • LOL! Perhaps so! Thank you so very much Clare for the compliment.

And if I haver, (when I hav… What does haver mean, ) yeah I know I’m gonna be I’m gonna be the man who’s havering to you, ….
Awesome for you, now Imma gonna have to go to YouTube and listen to that song just so I can swoon again…hmmmm methinks I need to find myself and nice single irish or scottish man who can make me swoon lol

Apart from the HUGE CONGRATULATIONS due (features, WINS, and SALES!!!), what I find most fascinating is that I’m looking through the pictures and, even though I know and remember them well, not one of them gives me the “oh, I’ve seen that before…” feeling. Your pictures have the ability to grab the viewer again and again, every time. Absolutely amazing! I do have my personal favorites of course (the bells and the last two from this set), but every one of them is a mini piece of art!

  • Thanks George. That is one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me! (And that includes my wife’s ‘I Do’ when I married her!) Thank you my friend. Many blessings. I will be in touch before Christmas!

But then those Brits have great accents too…sighssss anyway, I just looked through you work and I have to say you are amazing!! I am going back to look at more now…you are incredible and have a fantastic artistic flair all your own!

  • Wow! What a brilliant compliment. That has really brightened my day. I rally appreciate the compliment. I love the art of photography, not just the ability to snap a shot. Thank you so so much Rebecca!

Great, fabulous, splendid results on no less great, fabulous and splendid work. What more can I say after all has been said by my friends above! I knew that I should have sat at the computer instead of emptying the dishwasher and I would still have something new to say… Oh well, ditto, ditto, and ditto! :-)

  • Ahhh! Well, your ditto’s mean so very much to me. Thank you my friend. I appreciate it… ditto, ditto, ditto….

Congratulations, Shawn! Congratulations again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again ….and again …….and, one more time, …. congratulations again!!! Wow, and that’s only one for each photo, not all the different features, top tens, and ….the featured member! Well, done!
They are, each and every one, beautiful photos. More than just photos, really, artwork. Every one would look lovely framed and hanging on the wall.
You should produce a book with your photos and with all your descriptions and journal entries! God has blessed you with many wonderful talents!

  • Thank you… Thank you… Thank you… Thank you… Thank you…. Thank you… Thank you…. Thank you…. Thank you…. Thank you…. Thank you…. Thank you… and now Thank you!!!!!! What a super compliment. Perhaps I should do a book. I recently joined Blurb, but I don’t know much about it yet.
