Recently a friend and I went out for the day greenlaning and off roading along a few of Derbyshire’s byways and greenlanes. Whilst out, we would stop to get photos of the lanes for records as well as photos of the beautiful surroundings. Whilst going down this farm lane, I asked to stop to get a shot. I absolutely love drystone walls and winding lanes. I will be putting up a colour shot of this lane, but by far this is my favourite. It works so well in Black and White.

This Black and White image is a HDR combining two RAW photos using Photomatix Pro 4 for Mac.

Primarily a landscape photographer, my enjoyment of taking photos has developed from a young age. Originally from Texas, I now live in England and am surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery. I enjoy outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, and camping. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and three terrific children. I am a strong Christian and I believe that my love of photography and any talent I posses in capturing images comes from God.

  • Thanks greatly Gary. I love winding roads, stone walls, and old fences… all the elements I want to put into a shot. I appreciate the compliment. I am hoping to look to meeting up with you all sometime over the Easter break. Is that a possibility?
