"Dusting over St Andrew's, Asgarby" by

I got up one Saturday morning to go and capture a shot that I had seen whilst traveling to work at a school one winter morning during the week. The scene I remember was of a church spire and some trees rising out of the morning mist, but when I got there on the Saturday morning, there was no mist, but only a light covering of snow. The pink of the morning sky started showing through and I got my camera out. The subtle morning brought life to this small hamlet in the Lincolnshire countryside, near Sleaford. What a wonderfully cold morning. My feet were frozen by the time I got back to the car.

    A beautiful shot Bradley .

  • Thank you so much my friend. When I got up to go take pictures that morning, I wasn’t convinced that the sky would be good enough… There was too much cloud where I was in Newark, but as it turned out, it was a beautiful start to a day, despite there being no fog like the previous mornings.

Nicely done Shawn…didn’t Sleaford get to minus 16 last week?

  • I think it probably did, but this was about two weekends ago now…. it was still bloomin’ cold. (-6 or -7 I’m thinking). Thanks bud… I bet you have had some wonderful weather where you are…. Just a question, are there any green lanes there that you can take a land rover along?
