"London's Lights" by Bradley Shawn Rabon

Available to buy on…

This shot is AS IS and has not been altered.

On our recent weekend trip to London, my wife and I walked along Waterloo Bridge to watch the sunset and as the lights of the city illuminate the night life. Ok, ok…. so my wife reluctantly joined me. It was a bit cool and breezy and we arrived at the bridge an hour and 20 minutes earlier to wait for the sunset. This is the part where I remind her about our wedding vows and how we should be long suffering. She got her own back when we went shopping the next day. We did have a good walk before hand and I did treat her to a very nice meal out at an Italian restaurant afterwards as well. All in all, we had a marvelous time, and this shot will be a lasting record of that wonderful trip. Please view large to enjoy it to the full. Also, please check out my other London shots from the weekend that I will be putting up. The one below is a link to it.

Primarily a landscape photographer, my enjoyment of taking photos has developed from a young age. Originally from Texas, I now live in England and am surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery. I enjoy outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, and camping. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and three terrific children. I am a strong Christian and I believe that my love of photography and any talent I posses in capturing images comes from God.

don’t remember taking that vow!! but nice shot anyway

  • LOL! No actually it’s from the passage in the bible that our friend who married us spoke on at our wedding. It was funny at the time, and has been a running joke ever since. Thank you so very much for the wonderful compliment my friend.

Great image! Congrats on the feature! (Love the story about your trip and your wife too!)

  • She won’t be letting me forget any time soon either. Thank you so much Tracy. That is very kind of you. I do love this shot…. maybe because it took so long until I finally go this one. A windy bridge with lots of cars and people going by isn’t the easiest place to get a long exposure photo… LOL!

love stillness of the water, and place from which you took this image, excellent

  • That is so wonderful of you to say. Thank you. Believe it or not, I hadn’t even thought about the water till you just mentioned it. I was so focused on getting the light right and all the landmarks in as well. Your compliment means a lot to me my friend.

Very nice! It worked out well. You’ve managed t catch a lot of light in it and still blur out the water. Nice! :-)

  • Thank you so much my friend. (and it only took me 35 shots to get it… LOL!) I am very proud of this shot, but I had to pay for the next day…. my feet hurt so much from walking shop to shop.
