In elegant sway with the soft summer breeze, and sheltering shade from the distant trees, now immersed in a beauty no eye can miss; This field of wheat swallowed in a crimson kiss.
It’s poppies blush with painful rouge, memories held in beautiful refuge. Slenderly standing, dreams unfurled in delicate blossom, they dance and twirl.
A flowery tide in joyful shades bursts forth upon this sea of beige, and colours it in a boldful passion, dressing the harvest in floral fashion.
The silent fragrance drifts with the wind, and low the branches and leaves they bend to drenches themselves in perfumed red, that blankets so beautifully this earthly bed.
A proud display of such gentle bloom, with lusty hues that colour it’s plume; as at days end they close their eyes, and sleeps till sun the ‘morrow arise.

This beautiful field is just down the road from where we live in Newark-upon-Trent, in Nottinghamshire, England. It lies just on the edge of the industrial estate… how gorgeous is our countryside. Please view large to get the full effect.

I have always been intrigued with that tree in the middle of that field and have wanted for so long to get a picture of it, so when the field appeared with these poppies, I knew the time had come. That you greatly for that wonderful compliment.
