This shot is ‘AS IS’ without manipulation.
Every time we go to the island of Jersey, part of the channel islands between France and England, I like to take photos of this marvelous place. For those of you who know me, It is my mission to always try to capture a unique shot of this lovely lighthouse. This time I tried a much longer exposure of the sky. The evening was the perfect for this type of shot. There were fabulous clouds in the sky and there was also a strong wind moving them, not to mention the beautiful colour in the sky. I waited till nearly all the light was gone in order to expose it for a long period. I used my ND and ND graduated filters to help me get a longer exposure. I made my way down the cliff side to get a wonderful angle. Using my filters and camera settings, I captured the lovely movement of the clouds and the magical and royal purple colour of the sunset that filled the sky, and the again royal blues of the sea below. What a majestic view. Please enjoy this by viewing it large.
