We launched leggings! Step into a world of individuality.

When I was on holiday in North Yorkshire during the half term, I met up with my very good friend, and fellow bubbler Paul McGuire for a morning shoot. He suggested that we go down to Cayton Bay near where he lives. It is a beautiful bay. I have not been able to find out much information about it, but it is very picturesque. We took some lovely shot down on the beach, and even walked along to the Gun Casements left now on the beach. What an interesting piece of history left behind. You can just make them out at the bottom of the photo here. Paul and I then hiked back up the hill to the top and as we started to head back to the car, we stopped to look back at the view across the bay. With the morning sunlight on the hills and cliffs, it looked so peaceful. What a glorious morning it was. This view comes to you thanks to Mr and Mrs Miller who were lovingly remembered by loved ones with a lovely bench overlooking this beautiful scene. I can see why they loved it so much.

Primarily a landscape photographer, my enjoyment of taking photos has developed from a young age. Originally from Texas, I now live in England and am surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery. I enjoy outdoor activities such as climbing, hiking, and camping. I am blessed with a wonderful wife and three terrific children. I am a strong Christian and I believe that my love of photography and any talent I posses in capturing images comes from God.

This is beautiful Shawn! Nice HDR treatment, not overdone and with good tones. How have you been?

  • Oh there you are my fabulous friend. I have been well, but extremely busy and when not busy, preoccupied with children and all the summer events for them. Oh and both my computers crashing and losing all my data. But enough about me, how are you? Thank you my friend for the wonderful words of encouragement. You are a star.

    Great shot, superb!

  • Thank you so wonderfully much my dear friend. I still want to meet up sometime soon if we are able. Even though I would love to return to the Lakes, how about the peak District as our summer is getting very busy?

Yes that would be great, I would love to come up with the guys and go out for a days photography in the Peak District. We will have to sort things out. Maybe email Jase or Shaun.

  • That sounds like a great plan. I will try to email them or b-mail them, but my time on the computer is limited since I am on holiday at the moment. I you talk to them before I do, perhaps you could mention it to them as well.
