"River Walk Along The Dove" by

About two years ago, I was asked by the school that I help out at to go along on a school trip to Dovedale in Derbyshire’s Peak District. One morning the students and teachers all went on a day long hike down to and along the river Dove, running through the valley. I went along to help out and to take photos. The trail along the river is a lovely and interesting one. Sometimes we were low in the valley, as in this shot, whilst at other times we had to climb above the trees. Marvelous views all along the way. I decided to wait till the children had passed and then I took this love view that sees the hugging trail that follows the river. The autumn colours were starting to appear through the green of summer. I would very much like to visit here again sometime.

Lovely colours! Looks like a great place for the kids to go “exploring” in :-)

  • Absolutely brilliant. It was a great place to discover life along the river. This would be a great place to go with our kids, if I could just remember how to get here… LOL! The long walk up the hills and across the top, and then down into the valley… that is gorgeous as well.
