I have always been enamoured with the brightly lit phone box in the small Nottinghamshire village of Upton, and recently decided to photograph it after dusk. I was very pleased with the results, getting the shots I had wanted to take for so long. Just before leaving however, I wondered what the phone box looked like up close. I took a few shots of the inside, covered in cobwebs. I guess it hasn’t been used in a long time, but it still stands as an icon of British life and history.
