"Dead Line" by Bradley Shawn Rabon
Clear

I have always been enamoured with the brightly lit phone box in the small Nottinghamshire village of Upton, and recently decided to photograph it after dusk. I was very pleased with the results, getting the shots I had wanted to take for so long. Just before leaving however, I wondered what the phone box looked like up close. I took a few shots of the inside, covered in cobwebs. I guess it hasn’t been used in a long time, but it still stands as an icon of British life and history.

A token of another era… I find it so unsettling that they are disappearing so fast! They were so present in everyone’s life until about 10 to 15 years ago when cell phones became so popular! Love the cobwebs and the misty quality of the shot! Very nostalgic…
