"Storm Over Stonehenge" by

This is a shot i took so many years back when I got my first ever digital camera. My family and I visited this beautiful heritage site. The clouds were forming overhead as we were walking around the historic structure, but managed to wait until we returned to the car to open up the flood gates. The clouds gave for a very dramatic view. The quality of the picture is not very good, but it is great to look at anyway. Probably the most recognised structure and prehistoric sites in the world. It is made of earthworks surrounding a circular shaped set of large standing stones. Archaeologists had believed that the iconic stone monument was erected around 2500 BC, and has been the site of druid worship for some time, although it’s purpose for being built is still in dispute. The structure is being cared for by the English Heritage group.

  • Thanks George! I know mine can’t really compare to some shots, but at least it isn’t the same old shot that everyone has.
