"The Conversation"

This photo is straight from the camera. It’s AS IS......

On our day out with friends to Murton Park and the Yorkshire Museum of Farming near Harrogate, we spent time wondering though the grounds and the other attractions. On our way to the replica Roman Fort in England (which surprisingly look much more like a wild west fort), we passed by a field of sheep, two of which were very near the fence. My youngest son, Joel was so taken with these creatures that stood as tall as him. Whilst the others moved on towards the fort, Joel stayed behind (as did I) to have what could only be described as a conversation with this sheep. he would say something and the sheep would bleat. Then Joel would say something else and the sheep would bleat. It was so precious. This went on a few moments and then he reached through the fence and pet the sheep, sort of a goodbye hand shake, as you can see in the photo below. What a fabulous moment to capture. The only way I could capture it was to lift my camera high, and shoot above the fence line. I am very pleased with how it turned out.

Love it! What a wonderful and magical moment to capture! This is the kind of picture that will make you all warm and fuzzy inside when you look at it 10 years from now. My initial thought was of you balancing on that fence post! Great shot, tells the story well!

  • Bradley Shawn ... replied 11 days ago

LOL! Well it does sound like something I would do. I was very pleased with the way this shot turned out. It was all a guess as I couldn’t look through the view finder. Thank you fro your compliment.

I remember this from FB. Absolutely gorgeous! I love the fact that the sheep seems just as fascinated with Joel as he is! :-)
