"Round and Round It Goes"
This is another photo of the fabulous 1930’s wind-up Selecta Gramophone which lived in the front room of our friends home in Painswick, Gloucestershire. There is something aesthetically pleasing about this antique record player. This lovely Gramophone, as well as being a practical and useful piece of furniture, is beautifully crafted, artistically designed, and marvelously displayed. The oversized arm and needle head seems so tactile. I love this antique music machine.
This is a HDR image combining 4 bracketed shots using Photomatix Pro for Macs. Slight adjustments in lighting and tone were done using the enhanced details tool.

I LOVE this Shawn! I love how you have framed this and great use of DOF and of course your processing is always perfect :) My grandmother used to have one of these up in her attick and my brother, sister and I used to get brave (it was really scarey up there!) and sneak up and play it. This has brought back some lovely memories :)

Beautifully done. I especially like how you pulled off the HDR without going over the top, which many images seem to do. I also think you chose the perfect depth of field here. And I love the narrative, which for me adds so much. Fantastic image and piece of writing.
