"Winter Dreaming"
I woke this morning to find that our part of the world had been blanketed in almost 2 inches of Snow. When my son and daughter came down for their breakfast, their eyes filled with joy at the prospects of the day to come. I then reminded them that it was school today. The expressions on their faces dropped dramatically. I left the room for a moment only to return to this scene of my little girl with face pressed against the glass dreaming of all the fun she could have had. I had to capture it before continuing the morning routine. I am happy to announce however that we found out school was canceled and so all her dreams just might be fulfilled. Aaarrggghh! That’s my day gone! (LOL)
This is a HDR generated image using 4 bracketed shots, and I have applied an Orton effect over the final image.

We often close down here if it snows heavily …we’re wimps on the west coast. I have to say it is memorable tho’ for the young ones – and they do deserve that! Enjoy it all…hope it’s going to melt soon. Can’t wait to see her snowman!
