"Hands On"

I was commissioned to take some photos of hands in a variety of situations and activities for an organisation call Scripture Union for their website. Part of that collection was this shot of my friend throwing a pot. i was captivated by the way her hands worked the wet clay, moulding and shaping with care and precision. The bible describes in Jeremiah 18 how a potter who creates the vessel can destroys it when it is corrupted and fashions a new one. We are in the creators hand ready to be moulded for his purposes. With strength and care, the hand holds the clay.
