I’m based in Melbourne, Australia, have been fulltime professional for the past 4 years. This has involved freelancing to a regional newspaper, a car advertising company and a professional and amateur sports photography company while doing weddings through a small studio. While this has been going on I have been developing a real estate photography package including straight photography, floorplans and Interactive Floorplans (.html Virtual Tours) with built-in Quicktime 360° panoramas and selling this directly to Real Estate Agents.
Unfortunately this has meant on (my rare) days off I usually don’t want to touch a camera so the landscape and travel photography which I did for years previously, mainly on film, has been neglected.
I’m using Redbubble to bring back to my work the ‘pure’ fun of capturing a great image with out the worry of trying to make a living from it. Don’t get me wrong the work side is fun too but balancing passion and dollars is always a challenge in this crazy world. Also, the t-shirts are great fun, an excuse to consider design from a non-photography point of view and a creative outlet for my political view points.
