I am a 24 year old gay visual artist from Toowoomba, Australia. My main media is photography and ceramics. The Seminal focus of my work is based on subversive abstraction. The human conditions of beauty, lust, desire is explored as well as the deeper seated areas of our human psyche and spirituality.
I like to encapsulate the ideas of voyeurism and the idea of movement when been watched and when alone. I explore the ideas of classical poses in relationship with the organic forms of the body. I am in love with the baroque and Art Noir, and hope to encapsulate the ideas of these periods in my work.
What we some times appear to see isn’t essentially what is there in front of us and my work utilizes this interpretive state that each individual fundamentally has, to create and open up new possibilities and dialogs within my work.
