Listen for a minute. Where are the things that you need?
Not the things you assume to need; the things you really need
Now, where are the things you seek?
Are they different than the things that your happiness seeks?
Is this clear? Who are you?
Is the world your imagination? Or are you meaningless?
Is it all happening around you? Could it happen without you?
Or are you happening, and nothing else is?
Do you need anything else, but you? Do you need us?
Mine is only an unanswered list of questions that only you can and will answer
When you are ready, and only then, and never before you understand them
Never before you understand yourself
Religion. Power. Emotion. Life. Death. What is chasing what? Who is tricking who?
Are you confused, or do you perceive the problems? Are they problems?
Are the concepts even real? Are you even real? Is anything real? Why not?
You can feel what you touch, smell, hear, see, speak… Ponder these words
So it’s all real to you. Now. In this moment
And this moment is all that matters. Until the next moment takes us over
And when the next moment is not real any more you may never have another chance
A chance to try and understand the entire meaning of all this
What actually matters? What will be forgotten? Everything? What will be kept?
Maybe we should assume nothing matters, and enjoy each real moment as much as we can
Or at least as much as we believe we can
I wrote this at 4 AM because I needed a way to get my deep thoughts about life out of my system so I could sleep.
