Bob Perkoski

Albert Einstein said, “I believe in intuition and inspiration… At times I feel certain I am right while not knowing the reason.” For me, inspiration for the creative process comes intuitively. I hone in on the essence of a project, which results in something above and beyond the initial idea.

Currently I am managing photographer for Fresh Water Cleveland, a weekly e-magazine and website that reports on what’s next in and around Cleveland. Each week, we offer up a fresh wave of stories covering Northeast Ohio’s most creative people, businesses, organizations, and neighborhood developments. Our focus areas include technology, innovation, diversity, local food, and entrepreneurship. We speak to creative, highly mobile and curious people who are interested in where the growing companies are, where innovation is taking place, and where unique neighborhood transformations are taking root.

I also do freelance work which includes photographing features for The Sun News and event photography for PlayhouseSquare.

Previously, I was co-owner, co-publisher and art director for Balanced Living Magazine, a holistic-living publication distributed in the Northeast Ohio area. As one of the co-founders, I also helped to develop the look and content of the magazine. From 2003 until January 2008, when we sold the magazine. I created all the layouts, many of the ad designs and some of the photography (particularly the covers). Balanced Living continues today under new management.
