Award winning photographer specializing in rainbow trout and landlocked salmon. I have expanded recently to take photos of other wildlife and landscapes that surround me here in the Adirondack Park. My photos have been published in several newspapers and magazines. Please visit MY WEBPAGE to see additional photos.
Since retiring six years ago, I have taken up trout fishing on remote ponds in the Adirondacks. Ponds that I never had the time to visit while working and raising a family. On many of these ponds, the trout and salmon congregate in specific areas at certain times of the year and the sexual energy is high. Anything that lands on the water is immediately inspected by several fish and if it happens to be an insect, the fastest fish wins the prize!!! Sometimes they approach so quickly that they go airborne or even more often a big trout gooses or bites a smaller trout causing it to flee, often this means “air time”. I’m guessing that I take 200 shots to get “one of interest”. I would have been one poor photographer before that digital delete button was invented!!! LOL Most photographers at least focus on something..I’m basically focusing on nothing…that’s when faith, luck, and prayers come in to play..LOL.
