Ahh, the first of March…the sun’s rays are more direct and the snow quickly melts from their warmth. Only 30 days to the opening of trout fishing season…it is time to lubricate my fly reels, tie on new leaders and tippets, order or tie new flies to replace those lost or damaged last year, and practice casting with my favorite rods. This blue jay appears to be studying its cast also..LOL

  • Thanks, Rosie. There aren’t as many of them around this year?? And usually there are hundreds of purple finches at out feeders..notta one this year? Now, common red polls show up..never had them before? Creepy…these days.
