This photo won the gold medal at the International Regional Magazine Association’s Annual Conference in Santa Fe, NM in October 2009. It was chosen as “The Best Single Photo” appearing in ALL of the Regional Magazines that are in this Association for the year 2008. It was published in Adirondack Life Magazine in a feature article.
I have never been able to make it look as good on my computer screen as it does framed on the wall.
I named it “Lake Memories” because it reminds me of enjoyable evenings sitting on the dock with friends watching the sunset and fish rising for the “Hatch of the Day”. Sunsets are easy to enjoy just sitting there. They are big and slow moving, but I never appreciated the beauty of a rainbow trout rising until I stopped the action with my camera.
This photo was taken within the Adirondack Park in Upstate, NY.
