Gosh, this is great…. even though I have a phobia, I get close enough myself to take shots and somehow when I look at my own… they don’t feel so scary… since I sat there taking dozens of shots… seing others “spider” shots make me cringe…. so I know this is a superb shot!!

So lovely. I happened to photograph this spider, a Black-and-Yellow Argiope , in raspberry fields this summer. Her bright pattern caught my eye, as well as her large size and the incredible zig-zag cobweb she had knitted.

A very good capture of this little fella. That web is stronger than steel in terms of it’s thickness, but then, as a trainee civil engineer, you would know that.

Hey Michelle, just been going through your gallery of photos and came across this one. Gees, I almost reached for my shoe, it just pops out of the screen. lol. Great shot, keep it up. Oh yeah, no computer monitor or spider were injuried in this viewing…

Sometimes you want something in the photo to give scale to your subject. Except for maybe the web itself there is really nothing giving the spider scale. The viewer could imagine this as a really really big spider. great job.
