St. Christopher's Stain Glass by

My Dad asked me to take some photos of St. Christopher’s Church for the building awards that he is entering into. He tiled the whole church, it was amassive job, between him and 3 other workers it took them 7 weeks.

As I was inside and the light was all over the place I used AEB in camera and took three shots at -2, 0, +2. I used Photomatix’s Exposure Blending tool to blend the photos together. (Exposure blending is pretty much HDR without all the tonemapping) Then I took the photo into photoshop and used dodge and burn tool to darken the stain glass windows and the details around the windows. I used a slight curves and levels adjustment and sharpened.

My only gripe with this photo is thing hanging up on the right. I didn’t even notice it when taking the photo, maybe because tripod was in a very awkward position and I wasn’t exactly standing behind my camera at the time.

Any reason why you didn’t use ISO 50? Just wondering if you have the mark 1 5D?
