My passion for photography started when I was in year 9 (2006). A good friend of mine had just bought this amazing new camera, that Canon 400D and the kit lens. I never really was interested in taking photos but as soon as I looked through the viewfinder I was hooked. I just had to have an SLR. You could say that my photographic passion started out as as me just wanting a new toy.
I spent the best part of 8 months saving up for a 400D and kit lens. But it was well worth it. A few weeks later I landed a better job getting paid twice as much that could fuel my hobby. I took particular interest in landscapes so I bought a Canon 10-22 f/3.5 – f/4.5 which is to this day still one of my favourite lenses. As of now I am using a Canon 5D and Canon 17-40 f/4L lens.
Most of my photography is of Canberra and the surrounding region but I often take my camera on trips with family and now I’m just waiting to get my license so I can drive myself around.
