Santa Imposter Busted in Red Square by

Moscow police stop and question a suspicious person by the name of St. Nick for climbing down chimneys and through open windows and doors last night in Moscow. After questioning, Santa was told to beat it back to the North pole and stay out of trouble.

Actually, this person dressed as Santa to try and get people to give him money. He had a sign on his back that said “Help Santa.” The police in Red Square stopped him and asked to see his permit to do this in Red Square. He had none, so the police told him to get lost.

About Jon Ayres

I’m an American who has been living in Moscow since 2003. I enjoy discovering and photographing the many new things unheard of in the west in Russia, Ukraine and Crimea. Moscow is my second home and I love it and the people as much as I do back home. Russia is a fantastic country that should not be missed by those who like to travel.
