Artist's Description

The Senate Palace was built in the Kremlin by order of Empress Catherin in 1787. During the last 200 years the interiors have been altered many times which resulted in many changes from the original building, but in 1994 through 1996, the Senate Palaces was restored to its original design. Today the Senate Palace serves as the residence of the President of the Russian Federation. You can tell easily if the Russian President is in Russia as to whether or not the Russian flag is flying from a top of the palace, if he is in Russia, the flag is flying, if hes out of Russia, the flag does not fly.
