About my cameras
I bought my first camera PRAKTICA MTL5 in 1987. It was a very robust, solid and fair quality camera with fair quality lenses. I was satisfied with that second hand equipment. Soon after I purchased YASHICA 6×6 TLR Its very good semi-professional camera. However because of size and weight more often I used the PRAKTICA – it was more “practical” :-). I was a very active member of Photo Club ’’Masinac’’ from 1988 to 1992 so I exhibited my works almost all ex Yugoslavian Republics. During the War in Bosnia and Herzegovina between 1992 and 1995, I didnt take photos. Having been in Sarajevo during those years without water, food and electricity, survival was the primary and urgent concern and I well recall in 1994 I sold all my photo equipment, Praktica MTL5, flash, tripod, additional lens Carl Zeiss 28 mm, lightmeter, filters and many other parts. All together for 100 german marks. Next day I payed 80 german marks for one cubic meter beech wood for heating. I realized that I could die if I spent one more winter without heating in apartment as it had been in 93/94.
On 25-May-2005 I bought new camera and on 19-Jun-2005 I made first photo after the war. It was come back to old passion so here I am.
