Hi all, I’m very curious about how long (or how fast) on average does it take to make a sale on RB here? I guess I speak for many other RB members here as well? I only got one reply on the last blog so hopefully I get more reply on this one. Care to share?

This is a great question boozeox. I’m on one other site called Imagekind.com, {sullbones5}. Haven’t had a sale on that site in over 4 months. I’m new to trying to sell my work online. Just started in january 2007 without any luck. Are buyers looking somewhere else?

Thanks for the reply sully47. I know what you mean, I’m brand new in this selling-art-online as well. This is about my 2nd week here, some said it will take some time, so I guess I’ll have to just wait for now and keep uploading whenever I have an art work prepared. I guess we would also have to know what people out there are looking for? So we could target better? I love your portrait sully btw, keep it up!

I’ve been here since July this year and haven’t sold a thing. I read elsewhere that you’re very lucky if your first sales aren’t to friends and family! Perhaps you need to get them to come and look!! Dunno what to do about it, except promote yourself in other places, too. Like, have you got a business card that you could add your Redbubble details to? Or another website or account where you can link to your portfolio here?
Sorry I can’t offer more. I’ve looked at other portfolios and they have been here less time than me with at least one sale. In the forums there is advice about how to sell stuff and what sells with some links to other places in the forum for more help.
One person suggested it’s Tags, Tags, Tags…. For me, it’s not only the number of tags but the right tags, words of the moment, on the tip of everyone’s tongue that might be applicable to your image. I mean, which words are people using to find what they want or what you have? And someone else said that their work had sold because it was unique.

Hey chinchin, thanks for the reply and very helpful information as well. I am looking at other online agents like some ppl on RB suggested, so that way, like you said, we could have more exposures by linking the RB link. I haven’t got a business card yet. It’d be a great idea to have all the links on it tho. Yeah I tag my stuff as much as I can as well, otherwise, they wouldn’t come up in search. Thanks again.
