Don’t those most recent of creations on page 1 have an unfair advantage?
Most of my entries are on page 37 :(
Perhaps a page that lists a random selection of entries, with a refresh button is in order?

This is a very good point but I don’t think it is a problem for you early and loyal contributers who first appeared on the competition pages. Aaron I remember your very first enteries appeared on RB when RB was still developing way back before Christmas and were very stand out then. I have been a constant viewer because I enjoy the opportunity to see so much wonderful art but could never contribute. People like me have had the opportunity of constantly checking enteries and constantly going back over the pages in the competition voting over the last two months and now a final rush to make sure I have all my favourites in.The later works on the last pages have had a shorter time for appreciation and the older works have appreciated for longer. Never the less a random button would have been a good ides.

Fair point Aaron.
We have used existing functionality for the competition (e.g. tags to enter, favourites to vote, search to see entries), but we realise that this isn’t a perfect solution. A random display would be a fairer way to show entries, but realistically this won’t be built in time.
However, there’s been such an enthusiastic response to Unleashed that we are planning to build a proper competition/voting mechanism. We’ll draft up some ideas and float them around for input from yourself and others in the community. How’s that sound?

I hope I don’t sound like I’m complaining, I do it for the good of RB. If i didn’t care about the site I wouldn’t bother giving feedback :)

Yah i was wondering about similar.. <br> mainly that i notice that people are still tagging “unleashed07” for photos/graphics posted after March 16th (closing date was March 16th 5pm for graphics?) <br> a clear sign of “THE DIGITAL IMAGE SECTION COMP IS NOW CLOSED” when looking at the Competition details might be in order? as some people might not realise (not read too far down the page etc)

Aaron you did not sound complaining at all and I was just trying to be reassuring to you as to how much early viewers like me appreciate the opportunity to see such good work . I am sure the RB management team appreciate all the input they can get from their artists to constantly improve the site. I think that is what this site is about .Enthusiastic artists and authors, interested and appreciative viewers, readers and buyers are making a vibrant and friendly community. Lots of input keeps the community alive..I have nothing to do with the management team but was very pleased to note that your point was taken up very quickly by the management.

Personally, I trawl through pages to find things that interest me. So, I don’t think there is much of an unfair advantage from my stand point.

Aaron, I don’t see it as a complaint, but rather as a reasonable concern. However, like the others who have commented, I find myself going back over the earlier work and working my way to the newer entries all the time. There’s a lot to be said for re-reading entries. I find I get more out of them each time.
