Triple Strike by

My first Lightning shot!
Iv’e waited what seems years for the conditions to be right to capture lightning.
We were treated to a spectacular lightning show this evening (23/09/10) and I managed to capture this triple lighning strike using my 9 stop ND filter.

Taken at Osgodby, Scarborough looking South towards Filey.

Canon 400D 18-55mm lens.
Aperture f/10
Shutter speed 6 seconds.
ISO 400.

Well done. Not easy to land in the day time.

  • Thanks very much! It did help that the sky turned almost as black as night! An awesome storm!

Wow. Nice capture. I think in the bowling world, a triple strike is known as a turkey. Congrats on the turkey.
